On September 13th, the first-ever RISING Empowerment Day took place, bringing together schools and students for a day of interactive exploration into pathways to higher education and careers in the defence force, and exposure to Rugby League at Brisbane Tigers.
The event aimed to provide young individuals with hands-on experiences and insights that could potentially shape their futures.
Organised by a collaboration of RISING Community Program, Brisbane Tigers, Easts Leagues Club. The event featured a range of activities designed to showcase the diverse opportunities available within the Higher Education, ADFA and related fields.
Students had the chance to engage directly with UniSQ Academic of Paramedicine, take part in simulations, and gain valuable insights into the academic and practical aspects of a career in the defence force and QLD Police.
