“a safe space to discuss real-life challenges”
Mentoring plays a vital role in the personal and academic development of young adults.
The program recognizes the importance of establishing positive relationships with mentors who genuinely care about their well-being and success.
Ryley and Yvonne go above and beyond to connect with the students, providing guidance, support, and a safe space to discuss real-life challenges..
“My hope is that this association between the two organisations continues to grow in the coming years and is sustainable.”
The introduction of the mentoring program for our Indigenous and Pacific Islander community has been extremely successful with an increase of attendance and engagement on those days leading to successful results academically.
The college does not have a grass field on campus so having access to Langlands Park is a huge step forward.
“We are extremely appreciative of the work that RISING are doing with our boys.”
The number of positive remarks about the program from parents reinforces the notion that they are doing a fantastic job.
This is always the litmus test at a school.
RISING Community Program would like to acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as Australian’s First People and Traditional Custodians of this country. We respect all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Cultures, Identities, Tradition and lasting Connection to Country.
