RISING UNISQ DAY OUT

Exploration of higher education, giving students a real look at what is possible when looking at higher education and how to get there.  Today witnessed the convergence of 14 enthusiastic students at the UniSQ Ipswich Campus.

This immersive and hands-on experience provided invaluable insights into various pathways toward pathways to higher education, the Health and Medical Sciences field.

All benefited greatly from the expertise of leading academics at UniSQ, the event showcased a diverse array of activities tailored to ignite curiosity and foster learning:

Strength and Conditioning Laboratory: Delving into the realm of high-performance testing, students gained firsthand experience in the rigorous methodologies employed to optimize physical capabilities.

The Bones of the Matter: Participants had the unique opportunity to assemble a skeleton, offering a fascinating glimpse into the intricacies of human anatomy and the field of biological sciences.

Speech Pathology – Language Matters: Through interactive sessions, students explored the pivotal role of speech pathology in enhancing communication and addressing language-related challenges, underscoring the importance of effective verbal expression.

Paramedicine – A Glimpse into Emergency Response: A highlight of the day was the immersive dive into paramedicine, where students gained insights into the dynamic world of frontline emergency responders. From simulated scenarios to real-world insights, participants grasped the essence of rapid response and critical decision-making.

Throughout the day, the UniSQ team provided mentorship, offering students a holistic understanding of university life and its diverse offerings. More than just a glimpse into academia, the event emphasized that university education is accessible to all, irrespective of backgrounds or aspirations.
As the participants immersed themselves in these enriching experiences, they discovered that the journey toward higher education is not merely about acquiring knowledge but also about embracing curiosity, resilience, and a passion for lifelong learning.
